The Belgian export support landscape

Belgium is one of Europe's most open economies with exports over 80 percent of GDP. Each region has its own trade agency: FIT for Flanders, hub.brussels for Brussels, and AWEX for Wallonia.

Companies that understand which agency matches their situation access significant support for trade missions, market research, and international marketing. Explore on our export grants page.

Grants by region

FIT offers subsidies for prospecting trips, trade fairs, and market studies covering 50 to 75 percent of costs. Hub.brussels runs BrusselsExport for SMEs entering new markets. AWEX provides extensive support including a global network of trade attachés.

All three coordinate with Belgian embassies worldwide. Check our Flanders, Brussels, and Wallonia pages.
