How to apply

The process varies by region, but generally follows these 4 steps.

1

Identify your digital need

Clearly define your digital transformation project: e-commerce, ERP, cybersecurity, automation, etc. A preliminary diagnosis can be funded via enterprise vouchers.

2

Choose an accredited provider

In Flanders (KMO-portefeuille) and Wallonia (chèques-entreprises), you must work with an accredited provider. In Brussels, hub.brussels can guide you to the right partners.

3

Submit your application

Submit your file online via the regional platform: KMO-portefeuille.be in Flanders, chèques-entreprises.be in Wallonia, or directly to Innoviris in Brussels.

4

Complete the project and request reimbursement

Once the project is completed, submit proof of payment for reimbursement. Processing times vary from a few weeks to a few months depending on the programme.

Frequently asked questions about digitalisation grants

Is my e-commerce site eligible for a grant?

Yes, creating or redesigning an e-commerce site is eligible in all three regions. In Flanders via KMO-portefeuille digital, in Wallonia via chèques-entreprises digital and in Brussels via hub.brussels digital coaching or Innoviris programmes.

Is cybersecurity covered?

Yes, cybersecurity investments are eligible: security audits, implementation of protection solutions, staff training. This is a priority axis of both regional and European programmes.

Can software purchases be subsidised?

Generally, software licences alone are not eligible. However, implementation and configuration of software (ERP, CRM, e-commerce) accompanied by an accredited provider are covered. Associated consulting and training are always eligible.

KMO-portefeuille is the Flemish programme (VLAIO) for SMEs in Flanders, covering 30% of costs up to €7,500/year. SPW enterprise vouchers are the Walloon programme, covering up to 75% of costs. Both require accredited providers but amounts and rates differ.
